How to Install and Configure Cisco ASA on GNS3 - SYSNETTECH Solutions


You can download a VMware release candidate from the My Account page for the most recent VMware release. On the right side of the page, you can view the release notes and download a release candidate and build number. In the build number column, enter the number for the release candidate version.

Enter the release candidate build number in the Go to releasebox on the right side of the page. In the Release Notes section, find theRelease Notes item for the release candidate version, and download a VMware release candidate. The download is typically available in the Release Notes section of the Release Notes home page.

This step is pretty much straightforward. Note the message Installing GNS3 on VMware [C:\Users\Remy\Downloads\2.1 beta1\GNS3\2.1 beta1\main.py]: The process will automatically install the VMware Tools for your VMware product and run the VMware Guest Service. Since I am using VMware Workstation, I will use the configuration settings that are recommended for VMware Workstation, which is stored in this folder.


If you have already downloaded theESXi 7.0 Update 2a (VMware-ESXi-7.0U2a-17630552-depot.zip) content in a vSphere Lifecycle Manager depot, when you download the ESXi 7.0 Update 2a base image (ESXi-7.0U2a), ESXi 7.0 Update 2a overridesESXi 7.0 Update 2 and you cannot use theESXi 7.0 Update 2 base image. Any operation against theESXi 7.0 Update 2 base imagereturns the error A general system error occurred: The specified ESXi version cannot be found in depots. You mustupdate the desired state to ESXi-7.0U2a base image and corresponding firmware and driver versions.
